Primary School

Top Marks Tuition provides one-to-one tuition for primary school students who would benefit from additional support, greater challenge, or help building confidence in key areas of learning. Our tutors work with students to strengthen reading, writing, numeracy, communication, and problem-solving skills while reinforcing the methods and concepts taught in school. Many families choose primary tuition to address gaps in understanding, prepare for future learning, or provide additional academic support outside the classroom. We can also support preparation for SATs and 11+ entrance examinations where appropriate, with lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs and long-term progress.

Secondary School

We support students throughout secondary school, from Year 7 through to GCSE. Our tutors provide one-to-one tuition in Maths and Science subjects, helping students build confidence, strengthen understanding, and prepare effectively for GCSE examinations. Many students benefit from regular tuition to prevent knowledge gaps from developing as subjects become more demanding, while others seek additional support closer to exams to reinforce learning, improve exam technique, and increase confidence. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs, allowing them to make steady progress towards their academic goals.

Sixth Form

A-Level study brings greater academic challenge and increased expectations for independent learning. Our tutors provide specialist A-Level tuition in Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, helping students strengthen understanding, improve confidence, and prepare effectively for examinations. Many of our students remain with us throughout their A-Level studies, benefiting from consistent support as new topics are introduced. We work with students across a range of ambitions, from improving performance in a particular subject to preparing for competitive university applications and STEM-related degree courses.

Further Education Applications

For students considering university, apprenticeships, or other competitive progression routes, we can provide guidance and support alongside subject tuition. Many of our students have gone on to study at Russell Group universities, including highly competitive courses and institutions. Where appropriate, we can also provide support with university admissions tests, personal statements, interview preparation, and other aspects of the application process, including assessments such as the UCAT, MAT, and other subject-specific admissions tests. Our aim is to help students make informed decisions about their future and present themselves confidently throughout the application process.
